About the Conference

Well then you don't want to miss the GOGChurch annual women's conference. This year's conference theme is, "Kingdom Women on Kingdom Assignment." This year we have some powerful women and dynamic speakers as a part of our conference line-up, including keynote speakers Bertrina Lyons and Bishop Stephanie Stratford, Conference & GOGChurch Women's Department Leader Lady Angel Gaines, Jennifer Trotter, Caressa Jennings, and Timea Faulkner.
Conference Location
The conference will take place at the Maritime Conference Center located at 692 Maritime Boulevard Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 on Thursday, October 20th - Saturday, October 22nd with a check-in of 3PM for retreat pass holders. The conference will conclude on Sunday morning at Garden of Gethsemane Church of God in Christ located at 3501 Bunker Hill Rd in Mount Rainier, MD starting at 11AM.

CONFERENCE SPEAKERS
With 20 years of combined academic and vocational experience in ministry operations, personalized coaching, and thought leadership Elder Bertrina A. Lyons is an international speaker and global leader who has dedicated her life to the service of people. Her calling journey has led her from impacting local neighborhoods and communities, global missions in many parts of South America to an earned Masters of Pastoral Theology degree.
In 2008, Lyons birthed Bertrina Lyons Global with a focus on Leadership, Prophetic ministry and deliverance. As God has poured into Elder Lyons along her spiritual journey – charging her to raise a new generation of leaders, she founded The Audacity to Lead Institute in 2015 in an effort to train and equip leaders both spiritual and corporate.
Dr. Stephanie Stratford is the Presiding Bishop and Lead Pastor of Ekklesia International, headquartered in Brentwood, MD, USA. Ekklesia International is a global network of churches that provides apostolic oversight, biblical leadership training, and ministry support for pastors and future Kingdom leaders in the United States, Nigeria, Liberia, South Africa, Uganda, Belize, and Kenya.
She is an entrepreneur and a writer. She is the author of “God Speaks to Women: Lessons for the Millennial Generation” and “Living a Spirit-Filled Life.” Her book “Moments in Church History: From the Ancient Church to the Protestant Reformation” will be released in 2022. She is also a contributing writer for the YouVersion Bible App on Bible.com. Dr. Stratford is the Dean of the Apostolic Bible Institute, based in Durham, North Carolina, under the leadership of Dr. James L. Spence. She is certified as a “Leader of Learning” by Harvard University.
Dr. Stratford is a native of Washington, D.C., and has served the Body of Christ for forty years. She holds a Master of Ministry in Leadership degree from Richmond Virginia Seminary and earned her Doctor of Ministry degree from HBCU, Virginia University of Lynchburg, School of Religion in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Evangelist Angel Gaines affectionately known as Lady Gaines has been working in ministry alongside her husband, Superintendant Timothy L. Gaines Sr., Pastor of the Garden of Gethsemane Church of God in Christ, for 40 years.
Her compassion and heart for people continue to be the driving force for her work in ministry, business, and life. As a board-certified registered nurse for over two decades, she has helped her patients and others develop and meet health goals that put their overall well-being at the forefront. Using her experience as a nurse passionate about seeing souls saved, she has assisted on mission trips to Africa to ensure mission teams remain safe and healthy while teaching the gospel. Lady Gaines has also spearheaded health fairs at her church providing community members with free blood pressure, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and glaucoma screenings. These annual events have allowed the ministry to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ while providing practical and preventative solutions to meet the community's health needs. She is an active nurse at Washington Hospital Center.
More than just a nurse and ministry leader, Lady Gaines is also an entrepreneur and business leader helping others receive the tools and education for financial literacy and wellness.
A Single Lifestyle enthusiast, conversationalist and gospel sharer are a few titles that describe the dynamics of Jennifer Trotter. As a rising inspirational voice, Jennifer has dedicated her life's service to Jesus Christ and the empowerment of women and singles everywhere.
Born and raised in the DMV area, Jennifer is a graduate of Morgan State University where she received a B.A in sociology. Her collegiate experience uncovered her passion for human service and social competence. Upon graduation, she matriculated to Trinity Washington University and plans to complete her Masters in clinical counseling.
Jennifer is known to initiate honest conversations about Christian Singleness and women empowerment. As the founder of Single, Saved and Social, Jennifer is committed to curating atmospheres for modern Christian singles and creating platforms for Christian singles to express themselves with biblical margins.
Jennifer also serves as the East Region Coordinator and Prayer and Prophetic team lead for Wives In Waiting INC. Wives In Waiting is a place where women can grow vulnerably in God. In this ministry , Jennifer leads prayer and bible study both virtually . She also leads a local Sister circle for small groups bible study and activities.
Timea Faulkner is an Entrepreneur, Author, Philanthropist and kingdom champion for resilient faith. After going through cancer, failure, and experiencing multiple losses, she had to develop extreme faith to navigate through extreme circumstances— she now helps others to do the same by encouraging them to activate their faith using prayer, the word of God, and wellbeing strategies.
With a Master’s in Strategic Communications, she is passionate about communicating the word of God so that it is easy to understand and relevant across generations, language, and cultural barriers.
She is the author of "Beauty For Ashes Now: A 21 Day Journey to Becoming Beautifully Broken Masterpieces" and "BEMasterful: 21 Affirmations & Lessons to Help you Master Your Life Today."
Overall she loves helping women to live life fully with persistent faith and mental resilience.
As a professional, Timea is a certified marketer, visionary, and advocate for women in visual and performing arts and male-dominated industries.
Known for awakening audiences with one ah-ha moment after the next, Caressa J. leads women to big breakthroughs in their lives and businesses. Practical, spiritually focused and always real, she opens the door for women to master personal disruption, find healing and happiness and align their income to their impact.
By sharing her own journey with honesty and wisdom, Caressa’s talks create a safe space to laugh, cry and leave fueled with positivity, passion and power.
She is an entrepreneur and certified grief recovery coach.
